Our Patio

I love our patio, it is one of the things that endeared me to this house when we were looking at houses. Unfortunately it needs a lot of work. I am hoping to be able to keep it in the brick, or some kind of stone.  My husband the ever practical half of us wants rip it all up and put it in pressure treated wood.  Now I'm not saying that wood wouldn't be lovely, but..... look at that depth of color, that old world feel, there is beauty in those bricks,  can pressure treated wood give you that?  I ask you!

I love the bricks... they are way more charming than wood. I am facing the same dilema on my patio. I love the bricks, but they are hard to maintain and so many weeds pop through. What to do? sigh.

Sabrina, I sure know how you feel about those weeds, if your not opposed you can use round up on the weeds, Jim buys it buy the gallons. :0) Also, I'm not sure if you would like this or not, but at cabin luke I had a small cobblestone path and Jim planted creeping thyme for me between the rocks, it was pretty and smelt nice.
Thanks for stopping by, it is always wonderful to hear from you.

I love the idea of creeping thyme! And yeah I use lots of round up too... I don't like it, but I have no choice. The weeds are horrible!
It was fun reading the words "cabin luke"... :)
