Christian life has for the most part come easy for me, that was until around 2004, "wow can it be that it's been almost 10 years?" Life became complicated and oh so not easy any more. So, you do the best you can, you read, you study, you try and learn new ways to cope, and yet the struggle remains.
What are you going to do with that struggle? What are you going to do with that pain? And what oh what for heavens sake are you going to do with your 1+1= 2 life philosophy that no longer works?
How many times a week do we need to hear it? I would say the question is more how many times a day? As of late, you might say I've needed to hear it quite a bit, that is a good a thing in and of it's self, but one would think that I could move through my day with out always recounting how Jesus my Savior died for me. But when that furnace is hot, we need to nudge our memories along, rather than looking at the fire, we need to bring to mind the old old story, of a Savior and His love. And so.....
Your going to tell yourself the gospel, and your going to do it again and again. And as you do this life comes back, glimpses of joy, glimpses of better days, glimpses that maybe, just maybe life can be good again this side of heaven.
Rejoicing in while I don't know what the future brings I do know who holds me in the present and will carry me into the future.
