How many of you love paper? How many of you love fabric, yarn?
These are passions of mine. I walk into a paper store or fabric store, yup I'm as good as gone, don't talk to me about what you will be making for dinner tonight. Don't rush me, I get annoyed! Don't say I'll just wait for you at the registers. Don't ask what does any one do with all of this. And the big one don't say... but have you finished your last project? Lot's of don'ts, but the oh so wonderful dos. Do let me wander around for at least an hour, do talk to about your latest project or thoughts for Christmas decorating, do laugh with me over the crazy projects one could possibly make using all of the stuff that can be found in a craft store. Do have a cup of tea with me later to talk about up coming projects.
So you see going to the craft or fabric store is an experience to be shared only with those who understand and or those willing to understand. Hence for me that means Jim does not, I repeat does not go with me to one of these oh so fabulous places. As wonderful as he is a shopper he is not!
Now I can think of a few people who I would enjoy spending the afternoon wandering around one of these stores with. My youngest sister (I have three), Terri. She is by far a much better seamstress and crafter than I. We both inherited this love from Grandma Lowe. And, my friend and boss Ann, she shares this passion for all things paper and crafts.
When one goes shopping for fabric and or paper you need a kindred spirit:
I am thankful for friends and family to enjoy life with along the way.

Oh how I love craft stores!!! I get lost in them, just thinking about all the projects!
I just had to stop over after reading your comment over at Susans Home Goods contest. Mom cave is garish, you are so right about the nest thing. My thinking exactly! Please stop over and have a look at my post. We are kindred spirits, yes we are. Your kitchen is lovely, sweet and feminine. Love it.
